Bellydancers meet and greet.

Providing a mysterious and exotic flair, often good at the beginning of an evening, perhaps accompanied by a middle eastern drummer, the belly dancers will mingle through your guests (moving silent mannequins), swathed in their finery creating an quality authentic atmosphere

Bellydance performance.

This is always a feast to behold, one or more bellydancers provide a full choreographed show for the guests. This includes dynamic dances with and without props, and dancing through the audience.
1 – 4 dancers for 1 or 2 x 10 minute choreographed sets

Hen parties / Birthday parties Cape Town.

This always goes down a treat, a bellydancer arrives at your venue in full costume, performs a 10 minute performance and then the fun begins… she will don everyone in coin belts and give a 45 minute introductory lesson to all the ladies in the art of bellydance! We can also provide a studio venue in Woodstock or Uitzicht (Durbanville)

Soma performance troupe

 

Marissa Cuenoud

Founder of Soma Fusion Bellydance Company. She is the main choreographer and visionary behind the soma performance troupe. She has a vintage aesthetic and loves creating pieces that emulate the more traditional dance styles of North Africa and the Middle East.

Yvette Demas

Yvette has been part of the Soma performance troupe since 2010 and provides a wonderful alternative edge to the troupe. An absolute beauty on stage, she exudes a quiet charm and subtle quality that leaves audiences smiling. She has a background in both Cabaret and Fusion styles of bellydance.

Nix Spurdens

Adept in both ATS and Tribal Fusion, Nicola started her performance training back in the UK and since joining Soma in 2011 has performed at many corporate events in and around South Africa representing Soma. She is technically sound and creates dynamic and beautiful aesthetics within the troupe.

Jordan Williams

Jordan has been performing since she was a child, as her mother is also a dancer. She is the Disney Princess of the Soma troupe, mesmerising audiences with her feminine and luxurious style of dance. She has a thorough background in many other forms of bellydance and also performs solo in Cabaret style.

Shahra Sattar

Shahra has been performing with SOMA since 2013 and is accomplished in both Tribal Fusion and ATS styles of bellydance. She has a penchant for blending old-world glamour with urban edginess. Happiest when adorned in sparkling tribal jewellery and exotic costumes, she loves to delight her audiences with spellbinding movements and authentic expression.
